This spacious, light filled home, with so many thoughtful details, natural textures and design elements, is a simply stunning retreat.
You will find remarkable contemporary artwork wherever you look, with the same great taste in decor, quality linen, kitchenware, glassware, inside and outside space design, and more.
Our family of 6 adults particularly loved the spacious open plan cooking and living area upstairs with 10 seater dining tables inside and out. And the sheltered braai area with its sea view and indigenous garden linked directly to this makes for a really good flow for easy living and being together. It was refreshing to discover that there was ample firewood and firelighters for our braai!
In fact there is ample of everything needed, a lovely aspect taken care of by the incredible hosts.
We loved that Hyggehus is situated a mere 3 minute walk to two beaches and a cliff path, and that the upstairs areas have views of the sea.
Some additional special features:

Gas fireplaces for instant warmth on chilly nights (it was August)
Extra large fridge/freezer space

Their responsiveness and care was the best we have ever encountered, and we highly recommend booking through this exceptionally professional team. Thank you Firefly for a superb stay! We had a wonderful stay at Hyggehuis. It is a beautiful house situated really close to Voelklip beach and the cliff path. Everything was as described in the listing and the host was really helpful when we had questions. <br/>We slept well on comfortable mattresses and really enjoyed the duvet setup. We liked the kitchen layout which enabled cooking and talking around a common space. <br/>We would love to return in summer to take full advantage of the house! <br/>Thank you for a lovely stay!
