Founded in 1975 by Tim Hamilton Russell, this was the first wine estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. At a time when the region was still unknown for viticulture, Hamilton Russell focused exclusively on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – a bold move that would put Hermanus firmly on the world wine map.
